Melbourne punks Clowns are thrilled to finally unleash their blazing third album Lucid Again, released today to rave reviews across the board. The stellar LP comes ahead of a 10-city Australian tour throughout June, before the band returns to Europe for a run of festival dates across July and August.

Lucid Again seamlessly combines a powerful punch of pop, punk and hardcore across nine dynamic tracks, bursting with psychedelic swirling guitars, electrifying riffs and explosive vocals. From the exhilarating guitar-work on album opener and title-track ‘Lucid Again’, to the catchy melody lines on the singles ‘Dropped My Brain’ and ‘Pickle’, and brazen punk number ‘15 Minute of Infamy’ which The Courier Mail described as “a fast paced aural assault”, Lucid Again is Clowns’ most evolved and intricate work to date.

Audiences will relish in Clowns’ signature rambunctious energy and distortion-drenched sound when the band tours the album through Australian in June accompanied by Night Birds (US), having sent European fans in a wild frenzy during a month-long tour in April. The Lucid Again Australian Tour will now kick off at The Billabong in Kurranda, with all tickets from The Grand Hotel transferrable to this new location. The band will then make their way through Darwin, Perth, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Adelaide, Hobart and Melbourne as scheduled, joined by a host of incredible local bands on support.

From modest beginnings as suburban Melbourne house-party punks, Clowns – Stevie Williams (vocals), Rod Goon (guitar), Jake Laderman (drums) and new additions Hanny J (bass/vocals) and Will Robinson (guitar) – have become an undeniable and unstoppable force within the Australian music community. With now three critically acclaimed albums under their belt, they’ve sold out headline shows across Australia, Europe, North America and Asia, shared the stage with punk icons such as Descendents, Rise Against and NOFX, and performed at festivals worldwide including SXSW, Riot Fest and Belgium’s Groezrock for two years running.
