Hobartwise, 400 residents seems a lot for the size of the block. Meh, maybe it’s for the good, dunno. I was looking at the FG market site a few weeks ago thinking it could be built up a level, have the existing parking underground, and the new upper deck could be semi-parkland with purpose built market spaces and concourses among the hardscape. Otherwise there’s really nowhere for public greenery in CBD north of the mall. Nor anywhere for regular/occasional outdoor events. But of course my tatty little dream wouldn’t have realised as many $, so…
cycle way through elizabeth mall ?
cycle /walkway underpass from near gpo & franklin square underneath franklin square exiting at brook st ?
will a roadway, car-parking, bicycle lane review be done?
will first hour free parking at near by council car parks be cut if supply of car-parking is cut? (supply /demand issue).
400 units = my guess est 800 cosmopolitan multiracial residents - green voters in denison ?
