Brett Neal, candidate for Braddon has reignited his call to implement a program where farmers and growers of Tasmania will be able to deliver so-called “seconds” to credit agencies like 2nd Bite Devonport turning this perfectly good quality food but currently deemed “waste” into food for our communities state-wide.

Brett said ” this program should be funded federally and Tasmania is the ideal state to run a pilot program

With so many people struggling with the basic costs of living and many farmers being pushed to the wall, we must do more before it’s too late.”

Additional benefits could be achieved too to assist those on unemployment benefit, perhaps food vouchers via this pilot program could be a win all around.
