I was in Launceston at the city park and I saw our ex-premier of Tasmania, Robin Gray, shooting, what appeared to be, a commercial with Jane Howlett. Now anyone out there correct me if I’m wrong, but Robin was one of our most popular premiers and as far as I know he hasn’t really been seen on television and certainly not with politics for at least 15 years. I wonder if this advert is a Liberal Party advert for all candidates or has Ms Howlett scored a coup?

A simple explanation this being Tasmania,
perhaps Ms Howlett is a relative?.

Good on her. I was never a Robin supporter (apparently in the minority) - but he did run Tasmania professionally.

I believe this is a coup for Jane. And a well deserved coup. I have noticed Jane has been getting almost as much (if not more in some cases) media as the current crop of politicians. She really must have been working hard as she seems to have issues all over the Tasmania. I heard from a friend of mine in St Helens she was working to dredge the barway - that is a real problem.
I am not normally a liberal voter - but i have to say I am starting to sway. It is refreshing to have someone actually working after all the shenanigans going.

Actually Dave - Charles is right. You would be implying a 2 door sedan. Where as Charles is implying it was a win.

Without splitting hairs, “coup” means to strike, overturn, or upset, whereas “coupe” in Tasmania at least, means a place where no trees will be in friggin’ quick time…..

By the way, as a matter of interest, when was Robin Gray Premier and what did he do for or to Tasmania?
