One of Australia’s most unique musical talents, Miriam Lieberman is touring her ‘intoxicating’ new album Full Circle alongside her trio around the country. They will be performing at Milton Theatre on the 18th of February and Wollongong Town Hall on the 10th March as part of a broader national tour.

With Full Circle Lieberman and her trio have seamlessly fused the lilting harmonies of the kora – a 21-stringed West African Harp – with classical strings and a western folk/pop sensibility.

The result is a beautiful, exotic musical journey from Sydney’s seascapes to the bustling streets of Mali and beyond. Lieberman’s rich, soulful voice takes listeners through an exploration of love, feminism and the different shades of human experience.

The new work is being warmly received by audiences and reviewers alike….

“ Leaves you with a sort of wistful reminiscence that will make you want to take the whole trip all over again … 4 stars ( The Music )

“ A thing of intoxicating beauty” ( Rhythms Magazine, November 2016 Issue)

“ An impressive listening pleasure.” Richard Giles - Nexus Magazine, ( December 2016 issue)

“ A gorgeous blend of folk, world and multicultural genres. There is a very strong conviction underpinning her engaging singing. “ Peter Winkler - Music Trust Australia E- ZIne ( December 2016 )

The talented song-writer’s last album, Birds of the Moon, was critically acclaimed both in Australia and overseas, making album of the week on Radio National and becoming a finalist in the Australian Independent Music Awards.

Full Circle sees Lieberman reunite with violinist Lara Goodridge (FourPlay/Baby et Lulu) and cellist Kate Adams who add sublime string arrangements and lush vocal harmonies. The album also features producer Josh Schuberth as producer. Schuberth has worked with some of Australia’s most accomplished singer songwriters including Josh Pyke, Alex Lloyd and Tim Freedman.

Lieberman and her trio have toured extensively at major festivals and events around Australia including Woodford Folk Festival, The National Folk Festival, and Global Rhythms.

The upcoming tour will include Sydney, The Blue Mountains Folk Festival, Canberra Multicultural Festival,Cobargo Festival, Melbourne, Bendigo, The Four Winds Festival in Bermagui, The Paramasala Festival in Parramatta The Bali Spirit Festival in Indonesia and many more.
