  1. Rodney - I don’t go much on your perspective because I think in many ways you are just as biased as those you often lay claim against. Despite this viewpoint, I fail to see why we discriminate in this country against gay and lesbian couples. We need to have that commitment to equality and we need it now - it angers me that this nation constantly fails in this regard.
    Was having dinner with several blokes in Sydney recently and we were talking about gay issues up there. Suddenly one of the men said “I’m gay” and the entire table stopped. I looked at him and asked, “what did you say?” He was nervous and said “I’m gay” to which I replied “thank God for that - I thought you said you were a Collingwood supporter!” Broke through the ice and he was able to have an indepth conversation with other men there who were senior NSW police officers.
    We really need to progress this equality in this country because we’re so far behind on progressing real human rights.
