The countdown to both the State and Federal elections has started. The State Government claims with the recent release of its Mid Year results that things are going to plan. The Greens agree. The Opposition so far is silent knowing its strategy is largely based on the Government’s figures and only tinkers at the margin. Is there reason for cheer? Or are the Mid Year results a portend? Have we just witnessed the last of any fiscal changes till after the election? The pre election period is a time of great expectation for Tasmanian cargo cultists. Bounteous gifts usually follow. Will these be enough?
