Could you please find space for this news item on the pages of the Tasmanian Times? The Coopers Sparkling Ale Drinks Club had the pleasure of the company of Miss Finland at their last meeting, in the premises of the T42 hostrelry, on Thursday August 14.
Miss Finland regaled the club with stories of her homeland and the alcoholic beverages to be had there.
There was also a short talk on the delights of saunas and the Finnish practice of being whipped with birch twigs.
Members decided to give the latter a try when a suitable venue could be found.
The meeting ended with a short talk by the club president, Mr M. Ward, on the delights of using a new computer editing system.
A good time was had by all.
