Doctors in the United States are warning that the Tasmanian private member’s euthanasia bill is too restrictive.
The bill tabled by Greens Leader, Nick McKim, to legalise euthanasia for the terminally ill will be debated in state parliament later this year.
Mr KcKim has met politicians and doctors in Oregon to discuss the American state’s euthanasia legislation.
“Their main concern if they do have one is it’s overly safeguarded so that it will make it very difficult for people to access and may deny some people access who would have access in the Oregon context,” he said. Read more here
